What that Deposed King is up to next!
I'm so excited to get started on my next project, even though I'll probably stall out again. So I'm going to take today off, just like I did yesterday. But even still I'm starting to think of the possibilities.
Just to confirm, current plan is to take a run at Falon. The next book is tentatively titled The Painting and I intend to charge hard at it until either its completed or I stall out. If I stall, rather than humping away on it like I did with Akantha II, I'll just switch over and start writing Admiral Invincible.
I hope you guys like the new Akantha novel but as I myself don't tend to like sideline books without the main character, I won't be upset if you don't. Its just she did somethings that I felt needed to be explained in book format, so that it didn't come across as a gimme and when asked those of you who responded confirmed my initial feeling, that I needed to break her, Akantha goes to Capria, story line out from Revenge. And you know what? Revenge was already the longest book so far! I would hate to think what would have happened if I added 200+++ words to it. The last thing we need is to drown Jason in sub-plots or, what would probably have happened, expanded his screen time thus pumping the book into epic, Chris Hectel ranges.
Right now The Painting stands at 18k, which is the combined, sneak peak chapters written during the end of the previous book. Another pair of chapters after the sneak peak because at the time I was just plain on tear and finally a few thousand words I wrote while searching for inspiriation while stalled out on Ashes for Ashes, Blood for Blood.
I hope this is a little nugget for those of you who have followed over here from the other blog to find, as eventually the 'plan' is to make this the one and only. Or in other words the One True Ring to bind them all! (we'll see about that LOL)
